Every backpacker, student and temporary worker leaves super behind, often thousands of dollars. We find all of it, claim it from every fund and the ATO, and have it paid to your bank.
Registered Tax Agent 26076969, independent, not the ATO · Don't pay a percentage of your balance, just a small fixed fee of $150 · No super, no fee: 100% refund · Paid out in about 28 days
Estimate based on current ATO DASP tax rates.
Estimate only. DASP tax rates are set by legislation and withheld by your fund or the ATO, the exact amount depends on the components of your balance. Fee is $150, charged once, whatever your balance and however many funds you have, and refunded in full if we can't recover any super for you. Want the full breakdown, including ATO-held super and a balance estimator? Try the DASP calculator.
DASPA is a registered tax agent that finds every super account in your name, lodges with each fund and the ATO, and charges one flat $150 whatever your balance. You fill in one form on your phone and verify your passport with a selfie. We handle every fund, every certified-copy demand and every rejection until the money lands, and if we recover no super the fee is refunded in full.
DASPA is run by registered tax agents (TPB 26076969), with no conditions, sanctions or suspensions on record. Verify us any time on the TPB public register, only licensed agents may lawfully charge to lodge your claim.
One plain-English form, a passport-and-selfie ID check, done. No certified copies, no consulate queues, no ATO hold music. We handle every fund and all the paperwork from there.
Most travellers have super scattered across funds they never chose, plus money already moved to the ATO. Don't know your fund? We locate every account held in your name, all inside the one fee.
Just a small, fixed flat fee: $150, the same whether your super is $800 or $80,000, however many funds you have. It's tax deductible, and it's the only thing you'll ever pay us.
If we can't recover any super for you, the fee is refunded in full. We only get paid when you do. The risk sits with us, not you.
Your fund pays straight to your own bank account almost anywhere, by SWIFT. If the ATO is already holding your super it pays to an Australian account or by cheque, and we tell you which applies to you before you start. And real people answer on WhatsApp, in your timezone, until it lands.
Three steps: a five-minute form, then your $150 payment and a passport-and-selfie identity check, then we lodge with your funds and the ATO. A complete DASP application is generally paid within 28 days of being received. You can start before you leave Australia and finish from anywhere in the world.
Do the 60-second eligibility check, then the 5-minute claim form. No TFN? No fund details? We work with whatever you have.
Pay the flat fee and verify your identity with your passport and a selfie, right from your phone, wherever you are.
We lodge with the ATO and your funds. Your super is paid to your bank, generally within 28 days of a complete application.
Can I get my superannuation back after leaving Australia? Yes, if you were on a temporary visa that has expired or been cancelled and you've departed, you can claim your full super balance as a Departing Australia Superannuation Payment (DASP). Tax is withheld at 65% for working holiday makers (subclass 417 and 462) or 35% on the taxed element for other temporary visas. Claims are typically paid within 28 days of a complete application reaching the ATO and your fund.

Once you've left and your visa has ended, your fund is required to hand your balance to the ATO as unclaimed super money, usually within about six months. It's still yours, and the tax rate still follows your visa, but there's a catch:
The rate itself doesn't change: 65% for working holiday makers, 35% on the taxed element for most other visas, fund-held or ATO-held alike (source: ATO, DASP). What waiting costs you: the balance stops earning fund returns, and most people have closed their Australian account by the time they claim, leaving a cheque as the only way to be paid.
Claim before the transferYes. The ATO provides a free DASP online application system at ato.gov.au, and if your affairs are simple it works well. People hire us because we're a Registered Tax Agent who finds every account (including ATO-held money you may not know about), deals with funds that demand certified documents, fixes rejected applications, and answers on WhatsApp, for a flat $150, never a percentage. Full comparison here.
Then you pay nothing: no super, no fee, the $150 is refunded in full. We only keep the fee when we actually recover super for you. (And if your balance turns out to be so small the fee doesn't make sense, we'll tell you before lodging rather than take the job.)
DASP tax rates are set by legislation, not by us: 65% if you held a working holiday visa (417/462), 35% on the taxed element for other temporary visas. The rate follows the visa you held even after your super moves to the ATO as unclaimed money; what changes at the ATO is that the balance stops earning fund returns and is paid only to an Australian bank account in your name or by cheque. The estimator above shows what typically lands in your bank.
The ATO and funds typically process complete DASP applications within 28 days. Our form takes about 5 minutes, identity verification a couple more, and we usually lodge within one business day of your ID clearing.
Yes. That's most of our clients. Your TFN is optional (it helps us find every account, including ATO-held money), and "I don't know my fund" is a standard option on our form. We search for every account held in your name as part of the flat fee.
Yes. We collect either Australian account details or your international account with its SWIFT/BIC code, and your fund pays an international account directly. Super already at the ATO is the exception: the ATO pays only to an Australian account in your name or by cheque, one more reason to claim before the six-month transfer. We never touch or hold your money.
A DASP can only be paid once your visa has ended and you've left. If you've left for good, you can ask the Department of Home Affairs to cancel your visa rather than waiting it out, though not on a Working Holiday (subclass 417) visa or one with under six months left, which Home Affairs will not cancel on request. We can tell you which applies to you as part of your claim.
Identity verification is powered by Stripe Identity, a dedicated identity platform, passport, selfie and biometric checks happen in their secure environment, not in our inbox. See our privacy policy for how data is handled.
